Sadaqa ar Rasool
(The Messenger Spoke the Truth)
Salla Allahu alaihi was sallam
By Sister L. Bayaa

“You can’t win an argument with the ignorant” he said.
Ignoring his words, they protested and bled…
Ignoring the oppressed and the children left dead…
Ignoring the cruise missiles fired overhead…
They argued and argued – and nowhere, it led.

When asked for advice, he said, “Do not get mad”.
Ignoring his words and the fall of Baghdad…
Ignoring the orphans and widows left sad…
Ignoring the earthquake that Pakistan had…
They threw a big tantrum and lost all they had.

“Wish for your brother, what you wish for yourself.”
Ignoring this dictate, they gathered their wealth…
Ignoring all those who can’t care for their health…
Ignoring them all, to finance “The Stealth”…
They destroyed their own brothers for a notch in their belt.

“Relay all my words to those who didn’t hear.”
Ignoring this order, we sow hatred and fear…
Ignoring his words, our destruction we cheer…
Ignoring his Sunnah, our path is not clear…
O, Prophet Muhammad, I wish you were here!
