2007 Youth Poetry Winner2
Snow
Youth Category (tie for first place)
Snow
By Nabeela Dana (age 10)
Snow!
As cold as ice
Touching my eyes
Freezing my face
Holding me tight
As soft as a blanket
Wrapped up tight
Falling through the sky
Crystal shining bright
Trees are covered
In falling snow
Touching the noses
Of all mankind
Should I go?
Or should I just say?
Come on I tell myself
It's only for today
Where ever I went
It would follow me
Hop hop hop
It's freezing my feet
Now I love it
It's nice and cold
The beauty of Allah
Is better than gold!
