Against Chaos
Poet commanding
Lines of letters
Reaching out
To comfort
Encourage, enlighten
To bring hope
Poet is the general
That stands up strong
To protect what’s right
Poet is the bleeding heart
That has compassion
For the oppressed
Poet knows the power
Of ink and paper
Poet knows the strength
Of words spent for Allah.
