Ali Muhammad

Ali Muhammadis a public school educator and college English instructor.  For the last sixteen years, he has taught students from every social stratum, racial, ethnic, language, and religious background, especially those most at risk of not obtaining the American Dream.  Originally from the Midwest, he converted to Islam in May 2002 after interacting with Muslims from around the world—a group he loathed initially after the 9/11 attacks.  He recently completed a 253 page novel entitled Mom, I’m a Muslim and is searching for a literary agent or publisher to represent it.  The company Applied Practice, Inc. has published two of his assessment books based on the novel The Chosenand is currently working on two new assessment books with the same company for Elie Wiesel's Night.  A frequent educational contributor, writer, volunteer, and consultant in Texas school and Muslim communities, he is attempting to foster a closer relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims living in the United States.  He currently resides in Texas with his wife and daughter.
