Anita Peterson AKA Laylah has been a Publishing Consultant and Literary Publicist for over 15 years. She has worked with best selling Essence and NY Times authors such as Omar Tyree, Marc Lacy, Michelle Larks, and Darnella Ford just to name a few. Currently, she works from home for a Charlotte, NC based digital book printer Catawba Publishing Company. Laylah also own a literary publicity firm that creates press kits, radio interviews via online, schedules book signings, and promote authors to a mass market medium.
Laylah has been Muslim since 2001 and many Muslim family live overseas in Qatar.
In 2010, she will be publishing 6 - 10 books under my publishing company Insha'Allah Publications. her publishing focus will be on Muslim Urban Fiction with themes surrounding African-American main characters.
Laylah currently resides in the Washington DC/Maryland region of the USA.
She is an African-American/Indian and her hobbies include decorating, gourmet cooking, writing and reading lots of books.
