About

Reading, books and libraries are my passion. They have part of my life for as long as I can remember; as a child, in my career, as a mother and as a blogger.

I am a Muslim, a librarian and a stay-at-home-mom who has lived in several countries. I enjoy writing but (sadly) tend to do so only when I have time. I hope by joining the IWA I will be able to be motivated to write more often.

Most of my time is spent sharing my passion through my blog. I encourage parents/teachers to read to their children everyday, to value books and explore the variety of Islamic fiction and other Muslim books that exists. I try to do the latter by writing book reviews (so far it is a small but growing selection) and compiling book/reading lists. Recently, I started interviewing Muslim authors (and hopefully illustrators soon) on my blog. I did this because I feel that readers need to know who our authors are and to value their talent. I hope I will meet many more wonderful writers and illustrators through the IWA.
