Welcome to the IWA

The Islamic Writers Alliance is a USA based professional Muslim organization with an International membership. Membership includes Muslim women and men who are published authors, unpublished writers seeking publication, editors, illustrators, publishers, journalists, playwrights, web designers, retailers, and marketing consultants. If you are looking for a group of Muslim professionals to network with, gain resource information, and get help with promoting your work, the Islamic Writers Alliance may be exactly what you need to move forward!

The IWA organization's goals are to promote literacy and each year the organization awards fiction and non-fiction Islamic books to Islamic school libraries. The IWA also sponsors creative writing contests to Islamic schools. The IWA sponsors a public annual poetry contest and a public annual Islamic fiction story contest. The IWA publishes a quarterly online magazine: Islamic Ink.

IWA Purpose

The Purpose of the IWA organization is to promote Literacy world-wide and to provide promotional support to the members of the organization.

Annual IWA Board Meeting

Annual Poetry Contest

The IWA is sponsoring its Annual 2010 Poetry Contest. The theme for this year's contest is 'ibadah' or worship. Submissions will be accepted from April 1st through April 30th 2010. For information about and the Poetry contest guidelines click here: Poetry

Subscribe to Islamic Ink

Islamic Ink
is the free quarterly-published on-line magazine of the Islamic Writers Alliance, showcasing the talent of the IWA and giving important and interesting news updates concerning the IWA and it's membership. Subscription is available to anyone wishing to recieve the publication.

It's free – and easy – to subscribe to Islamic Ink. Just send an e-mail with the word "Subscribe" in the subject line to: magazine@islamicwritersalliance.net

Islamic Ink is published every January, April, July, and October.
