About

Zeneefa Zaneer, Born to Muslim parents, raised in Kandy, Sri Lanka, is a Sinhala writer. She began her writings when she was young and had published two Sinhala fictions. She has been contributing in writing for a weekly English news paper regarding social issues, where several of her poetries and articles were published. She was brought up in a non-Muslim environment and the atmosphere encouraged her to represent Muslims through her writings. She has written many inspiring children’s stories, poetries, short stories in both the languages, Sinhala and English. She is contributing her writings to the facebook page IiWords ( Islamic inspiring Words- Fill the hearts with the teachings of Islam in a creative way!). Currently she is working with her first Islamic Fiction.
