A Difficult Situation
By Veiled Writer

Buildings rundown

Liquor bottles fill the ground

The depressed and drugged out

Sitting around in makeshift burial mounds

Muslim child

hold fast and believe

For your Lord can do as He please

Single hard working sister

Never shedding a tear

Making her prayers in pairs

She knows who's  in charge of her affairs

No time to complain, no time for the vain

Two male children by her side

So she keeps them close

Hoping they won't get drawn into the

Life of this world or worst

Ignore their Lord

Muslim sister

Hold fast and believe

For your Lord can do as He please

A close group of Muslim teenage girls

Reared to have faith and to be among the chaste

Together they face

Feeling out of place, never fitting in

desiring to do the things that they can't

Right now

So they pray collectively that

Right now

Moves faster

And Ummi and Abu will get not one

But two clues

to

What they're going through

Times are hard

Hold fast and believe

For your Lord can do as He please

Countless choices to be made

Each one outweighed by the next

Making them more afraid

But it's really just a teaching aide

A life lesson to learn from
