Rhyme and I
By
Rym Aoudia
Rhyme and I
are intertwined
Linked like
Siamese twins
Together we
walk
And have
long talks
As twilight
sets
Our passions
free
Our views
fuse
In pleasant
tunes
And lovely
hues
With my
paper, pencil, and mind
Rhyme is by
my side
As we aim to
find
Sensuous
musical words
When heard
Tingle into
your soul
Fluttering
and dancing
It's a task
of joy!
It's a
moment of content!
When words
in harmony
Fulfill in
unity
Their duty
to poetry
With
strangers
I sense
danger
I sense
anger
Words will
fight
For the
spotlight
Forgetting
that they
Have a
message to convey
Or just a
story to share
With a task
to entertain
Rhyme and I
Solved this
strife
We gathered
words
Together
like herds
Friends,
families
Relatives
Loved ones
Together
they happily
Form
charming poetry
Part II
Empty handed
With no
inspiration
No
motivation
The muse
came to see
Rhyme and I
We sipped a
cup of tea
Spoke about
the weather
But
certainly there was
Something
greater to be said
"Rhyme, Rym"
the muse began
"Allow me if
I can
To tell you
of my plan
You and
Rhyme have been together -
Nothing
wrong whatsoever
But you and
Rhyme are intertwined
Linked like
Siamese twins
'Tis not the
norm!
We will
operate to separate
Rhyme from
Rym
So each can
wander off
To explore
the other side
For the sake
of poetry
You may meet
from time to time
For reasons
divine
But never
stop words
From mixing,
interacting
With others
'cross the border"
Those were
the words
Rhyme and I
heard
The
operation is tomorrow
Rate of
dying is low
'Tis a new
beginning
For Rhyme
